No actually he's a fellow, charming guy. He's military general for the infernal legions, under the orders of another charming guy. Some of them have pretty casual appearance and some are quite monstruous, or hybrid human creatures, they're funny people.

He can speak -I swear-
He smiles all the time. But he can't do anything about that. He flies. He walks on the blades of his feet (they penetrate in the ground when the earth is wet, it's not cool. Sand is not cool either)

This scene happens virtually a couple of weeks before the agent woman actually kills this guy.
In fact she's not the one who will shoot. It's just a dream, that would have been too pretty. Also she's not a killer. She's an agent. She only planed his assassination.

In the way of her mission she teached this bad guy something he never lived before, or lived too far away. When he started to think she was a dangereous ennemy, he has already accepted his defeat. He wont do anything to stop her and let her bring his own death.
It is during this dream that he faces all his thoughts and when he decides to accept his fate.
The end was nicer in the dream than in real, for sure.

Hi CG artists.
I want to say first that this is the first time I'm taking part to a CGchallenge and I really enjoy it. It made me learn some things already that helped me to complete this artwork.
It's a personnal work I finished to take a break from the secret agent piece.
I've been stucked on it for a while, it was cool but has no depth, and no great interest for me. I started to change the composition, I had to enlarge the frame and that was gonna take me a loooot of sup work so I abandoned, 'cause I had spent on it very too much time.
It's finally finished then! I completed the piece within 3 hours, quicker than expected and it was not so difficult, I guess I progressed.
I'm trying to push my limits in doing this. It has no other purpose.
Here is the enlarged version of the painting "greyly day" I did before. I decided to open the canvas to get a more efficient idea of what the background is.
The old version is now just a close-up. I fixed a couple of things that I felt were not good enough. I prefer this version now, I hope you guys like it too.

I deleted the old version of my portfolio but the close-up I'm giving you here are pretty much similar.

Ooh boy...
This piece tried to kill me. I spent arround 30 hours on it, re-doing it and fighting with the composition and details, for a month, finished it a thousand times and depressed because it was looking like sh*t and uh.
Last day of work I made a strike, it's done. And I'm finaly happy with it.
This piece has a full story behind, it started from a dream and became something else.

EDIT:
There is a cute little story about this painting. I dreamed that: suddenly any life on earth has to return to ashes, life itself was doing this and it was done within 24 hours. So everything started to decay alife, vegetal first, then baby animals, then young creatures... It started at night, so the strong adults, the last to die alife, were able to see what was happening at the light of a bright summer day.
I can tell the smell was creazy.

But the piece got another version of the story. This other version of the story has a whole different meaning and is more classic, because there is a point form wich this thing spreads, it's not just life renouncing its miracle, it's something evil. And that was funnier to paint of course. And in that story evil is the last on earth, or maybe they're just an evolution. Everything else disappeared.
It's father and daughter, you can tell she's already more evolved than her father. Imagine these two guys starting their new life, is that cute or what.
But it's good to share something really finished again, so here is this hell, this thing is wide. (too wide, I won't do that again)
I wanted to see how far I could go in size and details but. Well, I saw. I think that was not very useful, at some point I thought about make it smaller to finish, but I kept the big size.
I guess I learnt something.
I like to draw in Illustrator. I usually start from ink sketches and I do whatever I want with that after, adding colors, blur, changing expression or face, adding details...

This one was an old stuff, did it last year when depressed (I was doing only black and white and vector, any color was like exasperating me, that was frighting). But I'm super motivated again and producing something every day instead of resting from the screen so I felt like re-doing this.
Blablabla.
I basically improvised the whole face again and I'm happy with it, so I share.
I'm working on several stuff by now, nothing is officialy to show but it will come up in the next months, I hope. I've been working much on scene, more complexe images, also on different faces and types of persons. Some stuff I was lazzy to do before. And I just may say I enjoy to do that. It's difficult and easy at the same time, it's everything but not boring and that's soo cool.
But this piece is not of that kind.

Here is a birthday present for a french friend of mine.
This character was cool and fun to do, nothing difficult but I took the time to play with colors and I'm quite happy with the outcome. I think my friend is gonna like that one.
It's like a resting piece. Before I'll come with some more.

He's nice and sweet, hope you'll enjoy to rest with him. uh.
I've been doing some stuff but this is the last thing I properly finished. It's a personal piece, wanted to make my cat the way I see it and mixing two styles I like: A bit of fantastic anime style within the background, proportion and posing that are inspired from chinese dragons. The colors and reallistic details are inspired from romanticism european painting style.
Strange mix by now, I think I can train more on expressing this and get a better mix.

The pic is 10000x7200 px large at 300dpi, the fur is done all with a brush of 7 to 20px, I used several photo references to make the details right, it took me about 10 hours to accomplish.

Comments are welcome.

I made a different version of it that figures a child and is a little bit provocative. You can see it here: http://smirtouille.deviantart.com/art/With-the-kid-version-129778322
Here is a close up. Enjoy.
