Ooh boy...
This piece tried to kill me. I spent arround 30 hours on it, re-doing it and fighting with the composition and details, for a month, finished it a thousand times and depressed because it was looking like sh*t and uh.
Last day of work I made a strike, it's done. And I'm finaly happy with it.
This piece has a full story behind, it started from a dream and became something else.
EDIT:
There is a cute little story about this painting. I dreamed that: suddenly any life on earth has to return to ashes, life itself was doing this and it was done within 24 hours. So everything started to decay alife, vegetal first, then baby animals, then young creatures... It started at night, so the strong adults, the last to die alife, were able to see what was happening at the light of a bright summer day.
I can tell the smell was creazy.
But the piece got another version of the story. This other version of the story has a whole different meaning and is more classic, because there is a point form wich this thing spreads, it's not just life renouncing its miracle, it's something evil. And that was funnier to paint of course. And in that story evil is the last on earth, or maybe they're just an evolution. Everything else disappeared.
It's father and daughter, you can tell she's already more evolved than her father. Imagine these two guys starting their new life, is that cute or what.
